The wholesale trade sector also shows positive dynamics. For the first four months of 2026, wholesale turnover amounted to 155,875.5 billion UZS (a 12.7% increase YoY). Out of 57,301 enterprises operating in this field, 517 are large, and 56,784 are small and micro-firms. In the public catering sector, 32,266 enterprises were registered as of May 1, 2026 (266 large and 32,000 small and micro-firms). The sector's total turnover for January–April was 69,813.9 billion UZS (+7.2% compared to the same period in 2025). Small business entities form the core of the market, accounting for 79.8% of the turnover, while the share of large companies is 20.2%.

The statistical data for the first four months of 2026 reflect the stable expansion of Uzbekistan's domestic market. Retail and wholesale trade indicators demonstrate steady growth, with small businesses maintaining their status as the primary driver across all reviewed segments: retail, wholesale, and public catering. The advanced turnover growth rates of large retail enterprises (26.1%) may indicate a gradual market consolidation and the development of organized chain retail formats. This macroeconomic environment creates favorable conditions for FMCG suppliers and logistics operators planning to enter or expand their presence in the Uzbekistan market.
